The American Bar Association’s Board of Governors has approved a policy aimed at improving diversity on the panels featured in Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs sponsored or co-sponsored by the ABA.

The new policy, with an implementation date of April 5, specifies that ABA CLE programs and those the ABA co-sponsors must advance the aspirations of Goal III of the ABA Mission and Goals, according to the ABA’s announcement.
