To support economic sanctions that the U.S., United Kingdom, European Union and others have imposed in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Coinbase will block sanctioned individuals and entities from using its cryptocurrency exchange platform, the company’s chief legal officer wrote in a blog post Sunday.
This ban does not extend to all Russian customers, the company confirmed Monday.
