The Grocery Manufacturers Association will pay a $9 million judgment and apologize for its intentional violations of Washington’s campaign finance law, the Washington State Office of the Attorney General announced Wednesday.
The move will resolve eight years of litigation and will levy a campaign finance penalty believed to be the largest in U.S. history against the trade organization, the Attorney General’s Office said.
