WHO GOT THE WORK?℠ - Infrastructure Investments Fund has agreed to acquire energy services provider South Jersey Industries Inc. for approximately $8.1 billion. The transaction, announced Feb. 24, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022. New York-based Infrastructure Investments is advised by a Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom team that includes partners Jeremy London, Paul Kraske and Steven Messina. UNACCOUNTED FOR - Sheppard Mullin filed a lawsuit Wednesday in Massachusetts District Court on behalf of Australia-based cryptocurrency company Digital CC Management. The suit seeks a declaration that the plaintiff is the rightful owner of two cryptocurrency trading accounts acquired from defendant Alexander Karisin in 2014. The suit contends that the accounts are currently held by a non-party Japanese cryptocurrency exchange that is the subject of insolvency proceedings. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant.
