Linklaters has voted to modify its lockstep model, making three key changes in the latest example of firms adapting their compensation schemes to better suit modern times.
The firm has extended the top of its lockstep ladder for high-performing partners, introduced an acceleration mechanism for partners who make an exceptional contribution and give itself more flexibility to elect lawyers to the partnership earlier.
