Four federal judges in different courts have issued injunctions against President Joe Biden’s separate vaccine mandates for federal contractors and health care workers.

All four district court judges are Republican appointees, three of whom were appointed by former President Donald Trump. The high number of conservative-tapped judges presiding over the cases speaks to Trump’s ability to shape the federal judiciary, and the courts in which challengers decided to bring their lawsuits against the vaccine mandates.
