A federal judge is calling in the warden of the D.C. jail and the head of the D.C. Department of Corrections for a hearing Wednesday to determine whether they should be held in civil contempt.

U.S. Senior Judge Royce Lamberth issued the order Tuesday after he said the institutions failed to comply with an order last week in which he told the jail and DOC to provide an orthopedic surgeon’s narrative notes to the U.S. Marshals Service “forthwith” as the service decides whether to approve a surgery for Jan. 6 defendant Christopher Worrell.
