U.K. law firm partners’ utilization has rocketed in the past few months due to an increase in client demand, with some lawyers nearly doubling their regular utilization since the start of the latest financial year.
Lawyers cite heightened deal activity and a backlog of client requests caused by the COVID-19 pandemic as reasons behind the uptick in utilization, which measures a lawyer’s activity against the total amount of time that they would be able to work.
