Message to Justice Stephen Breyer: 60% of people in a recent national poll, when told about pressure on him to retire, said justices should not consider party control of the White House and Senate in making retirement decisions.

The number increases to 72% when the question about party control and retirements is asked without mentioning Breyer’s name, according to the Marquette Law School poll, an expansion of its annual poll about the U.S. Supreme Court.
