An internal audit concluded that California’s state bar “made mistakes” investigating complaints leveled against embattled plaintiffs attorney Tom Girardi going back decades, the bar said in a statement Thursday.
The audit, commissioned by interim Chief Trial Counsel Melanie Lawrence, “identified significant issues regarding the Office of Chief Trial Counsel’s investigation and evaluation of high-dollar, high-volume trust accounts,” the statement said.
