New offices in Big Law don’t always mean a brick-and-mortar presence now. A handful of large firms that have scooped up lateral partners in a new market lately haven’t announced a physical address with the move, as firms become more at ease with remote-working lawyers amid the pandemic.

While Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan announced Monday that it was moving into Miami with 10 partners, it’s still scoping out space. And the litigation powerhouse has yet to formally announce real estate for its growing presence in Austin, home to three recently added partners, and Atlanta, home to one new partner.
