Most of the Am Law 100 firms with roots in the Windy City pulled off revenue or profit per partner gains in 2020, with Kirkland & Ellis leading the way. But few of them beat the Am Law 100 average growth in both financial metrics.

Overall, the Am Law 100 firms increased revenue by about 6.6% and profits per equity partner by about 13.4% last year. Out of nine homegrown Chicago firms in the Am Law 100, only Kirkland and McDermott Will & Emery saw their performance in revenue and average PEP soar ahead of these averages.
