The Mississippi attorney general is taking advantage of post-Trump administration departures from the U.S. Justice Department.

Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced Friday that she has named Scott Stewart as Mississippi’s second solicitor general, essentially the state’s lead appellate counsel, and William C. Lamar as a special assistant attorney general prosecuting Medicaid fraud.
