Even without Big Law clients, IT providers with a high volume of law firm clientele have significant sway with legal tech companies. So much so that software companies extend reduced prices to IT providers’ clients to gain access to their stable of law firms.
An alternative legal service provider with a significant amount of clients represents an easier entrance point into the law firm market for legal tech providers, said Ron Bockstahler, CEO and founder of legal office space and paralegal provider Amata Law Office Suites. And legal tech companies are willing to accept below-retail pricing for that access.
