A new survey of chief legal officers paints a bleak picture of a disrupted in-house landscape during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has spurred legal department leaders to tighten budgets more than ever before. 

For the first time in a decade, more CLOs said they planned to cut their overall budgets for the coming year than those who planned to increase spending, according to Altman Weil’s latest CLO survey.
