RESPONSE AND RESPONSIBILITY - In this week’s Law.com Barometer newsletter, Heather Nevitt writes that chief in-house lawyers, GCs and CLOs are being tasked with leading the charge at their companies when it comes to environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion and corporate social responsibility, and they expect their outside counsel to participate. For law firms, opportunities abound to show—not tell—their clients that they care. As Nevitt explains, “in-house leaders making hiring decisions are looking closer at the hiring practices of their firms. How do they staff cases? Who gets the origination credit?
