The legal arm of Deloitte has made no secret of its grand expansion plans in recent years, and its announcement Tuesday that it would acquire U.K. digital and technology law specialist Kemp Little immediately hands it significant head count growth in the market.

The deal marks the culmination of 12 months of negotiations between the two parties, and in doing so, the Big Four firm’s legal arm is set to double its head count, build out multiple service lines and once more attempt to reset the frontiers between the Big Four and Big Law.
