A federal judge on Wednesday shut down an emergency bid to release more information tied to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation after finding a senior White House official’s declaration on President Donald Trump’s tweets about declassifying Russia probe materials effectively withdrew any expansion Trump may have granted to a prior declassification directive.
