Three Black veterans of ill-fated Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht have joined together to launch a new firm in New York City, with the dual aims of delivering top-quality legal services and nurturing diverse talent.

While the three founding partners of Bradford Edwards & Varlack all worked together at Pierce Bainbridge, Denver Edwards and Patrick Bradford have a record going back nearly 30 years. Before starting law school, Edwards served as Bradford’s legal assistant at Davis Polk & Wardwell before Bradford became that firm’s first Black partner. Both attorneys met Camille Joseph Varlack through their time at Pierce Bainbridge.
