A federal judge on Wednesday largely upheld the Justice Department’s concealment of sensitive portions of the special counsel report on the Russia investigation, months after questioning the credibility of U.S. Attorney General William Barr and raising “grave concerns” about the process leading up to the document’s public release.

In a 40-page opinion, U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton said the Justice Department had provided him with the full, unredacted version of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller III’s report, along with “a substantial amount of information that was previously withheld from public disclosure.”
