Gowling WLG’s Toronto managing partner is alleged to have played an active part in a conspiracy to defraud three companies and other individuals of millions of dollars, according to documents filed at a court in Canada on Tuesday. 

In a statement of claim filed at Ontario’s Superior Court, Gowling’s Canadian LLP is itself also listed as a defendant for “failing to properly control and supervise the behavior of one of its senior partners.”
