Kodwo Ghartey-Tagoe, the South Carolina state president for Duke Energy Corp., was named the company’s chief legal officer Friday.
Ghartey-Tagoe, a native of Ghana, will lead the office of the general counsel, which includes overseeing the company’s legal, corporate governance, ethics and compliance and audit functions. He will also serve as the primary legal adviser to Duke Energy’s board of directors and senior management. He will begin his new role Oct. 1 and work out of the company’s headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
