WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

OOPS – The California State Bar “inadvertently” revealed to law school deans the essay topics that will be covered on this week’s bar exam, Cheryl Miller reports. The bar told registered test-takers in an email Saturday night that “out of abundance of caution and fairness” it provided the same information about the test to those registered to take it on Tuesday and Wednesday at sites around the state. The essay topics on this week’s exam are civil procedure, remedies/constitutional law, criminal law and procedure, professional responsibility, contracts, and evidence. About 16,000 applicants take the California exam each year.
