A longtime top in-house lawyer in the medical device industry is moving to a leading semiconductor business.

Norwood, Massachusetts-based Analog Devices Inc. announced it has appointed Larry Weiss to vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective Feb. 11. In his new role, Weiss will oversee the company’s global legal function, including mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property work and compliance matters, according to a statement announcing his hire.
