Addleshaw Goddard has bucked the trend of exits from law firms for accountants, hiring EY associate partner Steven Francis. Francis had formerly been a partner at Baker McKenzie and RPC before joining EY’s financial services law practice in 2015. He most recently led the accountant’s regulatory team and joins Addleshaws as a partner in its financial regulation team.
Clifford Chance has recruited DLA Piper’s Luxembourg head of tax Geoffrey Scardoni to its Luxembourg office. Scardoni advises on matters relating to funds and investment structures and works for PE firms, asset managers and financial institutions. He joined DLA Piper as a partner in 2015, before which he was a partner at King & Wood Mallesons in Luxembourg.
