More than 2,000 lawyers who are mothers—including partners and associates from Big Law firms across the country, and dozens of signers from New Jersey—joined together in a letter supporting Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as she prepares to testify Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committee that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while both were in high school.

The letter was addressed to both Ford and the Senate Judiciary Committee, and as of Tuesday morning it contained 2,091 signatures. Among them are 83 attorneys from New Jersey. As of that time, New York accounted for 181 of the signatures, and California, Ford’s home state, nearly 700, according to the site, lawmomswithblasey.com.
