Houston litigator Benton Musslewhite and his firm have settled a breach of fiduciary duty suit filed by a Seattle businessman and his company over how they handled litigation to recover five large rubies from Thailand appraised at about $1.8 billion.

Terms of the settlement are confidential, said Lance Kassab, a Houston legal malpractice lawyer who represents plaintiffs Decagon Co. and Lawrence Lester in the litigation.
