The Alameda County Bar Association has announced the following nominations for its board of directors: Cheryl Poncini, president; Pelayo Llamas, president-elect; Lauren Powe, vice president; and for directors Alice Cheng, Jo-Anna Nieves, Autumn Paine and Peter Shelton. Janet Gertz was elected as co-chairwoman of the Lawyer Representatives for the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of California. Gertz is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg’s finance, insolvency and restructuring department. She will also become a member of the Ninth Circuit’s Lawyer Representatives Coordinating Committee.
