Large-scale product overhauls from Thomson Reuters and LexisNexis have marked July a hot month for analytics. The latest to shine a spotlight on this technology is Seal Software, which in a move to bolster its own analytics suite announced July 12 its acquisition of Apogee Legal.
As part of the acquisition, Apogee comes under the Seal Software umbrella, shedding its name to become a portion of the company. As such, Apogee analytics offerings will be incorporated into Seal Software’s analytics suite, while employees will be folded into Seal’s existing team. The companies have worked together in some capacity since 2015, with Apogee Legal providing analytics offerings through Seal since 2016.
