Cooley has hired Alexander “Xander” Lee, former head of McDermott Will & Emery’s tax practice in Los Angeles, to lead its global tax practice on the West Coast.
Lee, who officially joined Cooley’s Los Angeles office on Monday, focuses his practice on domestic and international transactional tax matters. Before Lee moved to McDermott’s Los Angeles office last year, he was a tax lawyer at Paul Hastings for nearly 17 years, where he served as the head of the firm’s Los Angeles transactional tax practice.
