When the two most recent additions to the Georgia Court of Appeals reflect on what makes a good judge, they think of the same quote by the same person: Antonin Scalia.

During their investiture Tuesday morning in Atlanta, Judges E. Trenton “Trent” Brown III and Elizabeth Gobeil both cited a statement from the late U.S. Supreme Court justice: “If you’re going to be a good and faithful judge, you have to resign yourself to the fact that you’re not always going to like the conclusions you reach. If you like them all the time, you’re probably doing something wrong.”
