Newly confirmed Luxembourg Ambassador J. Randolph Evans, having already announced his departure from Dentons, resigned his position as co-chair of Gov. Nathan Deal’s Judicial Nominating Commission.

“On Monday, Vice President Pence will swear me in as the next United States Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg subject to acceptance by Grand Duke Henri,” Evans said in a letter to the governor Thursday. “If accepted, it will be a great honor to represent our country in Europe. Unfortunately, it also means that I must resign my positions as Co-Chair and as a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission.”
