Less than two months after determining that a trial judge strayed out of bounds in awarding a $21 million bad-faith verdict stemming from an allegedly faulty car repair, a Pennsylvania Superior Court panel has withdrawn that ruling and agreed to reconsider the case.

On Thursday, the Superior Court issued a per curiam order agreeing to have the three-judge panel reconsider its decision in Berg v. Nationwide Mutual Insurance. The order further withdrew the panel’s previous decision, and said the parties did not need to file any additional briefs regarding the case.
