Coral Gables Trust Co. agreed to settle harassment and retaliation claims brought by a former female employee.

Jacqueline Grainger, an executive assistant and marketing officer, asserted she was subjected to a hostile work environment consisting of gender-based verbal and physical harassment from the time of her hiring in 2015 through January 2017. When she complained, she alleged she was retaliated against. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, on Grainger’s behalf, sued Coral Gables Trust Co., alleging it violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
