Charles Kalil has had the in-house career many lawyers can only dream of, spending more than a decade as general counsel of a multibillion-dollar company. And now, he’s ready to retire.

Dow Chemical Co. announced Friday that Kalil has elected to retire later this year after 14 years as general counsel and 38 years total with the Midland, Michigan-based company. Kalil is currently executive vice president and general counsel of Dow, special counsellor to the executive chairman and general counsel for the Materials Science Division of DowDuPont. He is also a member of Dow’s executive leadership committee, management committee, and sustainability and people operational teams.
