Volvo Car, U.S. District Judge Joseph Irenas of the District of New Jersey issued the fee award March 26 against plaintiff Lugus IP, finding that the case was “exceptional” and that Lugus “had no objectively reasonable basis to contend that defendants’ manually operated seat infringed upon plaintiff’s patent.”
