Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Baker McKenzie’s Malaysian associate firm Wong & Partners have secured lead roles in private equity fund Global Infrastructure Partners’ $3.9 billion acquisition of airport operator Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB).
GIP has made the offer as part of a consortium led Malaysian sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Berhad and the country’s Employees’ Provident Fund, according to a statement. The consortium also includes Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
