The first talcum powder trial against Johnson & Johnson to take place since its two failed bankruptcies opened on Thursday in California.

Johnson & Johnson attorney Kim Bueno, a partner in Austin, Texas, at Butler Snow, told jurors in Alameda County Superior Court that no doctor ever blamed plaintiff Marlin Eagles’ mesothelioma on his use of talcum powder, according to a broadcast of the trial by Courtroom View Network.
