In the aftermath of the resignation of U.S. Bankruptcy Judge David R. Jones, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has posted a notice for applications to fill the post.

Jones gave notice of his resignation on Oct. 15, making it effective Nov. 15, after several weeks of revelations in court records and in the media that he was in a romantic relationship with a bankruptcy lawyer that had cases before him, both in bankruptcy court and with Jones acting as a mediator.
