Mark Oakes has been appointed partner-in-charge of Norton Rose Fulbright’s Austin office. Oakes, who joined the firm’s Austin office in 2007, focuses his practice on commercial and securities litigation, including shareholder class action defense, derivative litigation, federal U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement matters, internal corporate investigations, mergers and acquisitions and corporate government litigation and complex contract and commercial litigation. He succeeds Stacey Martinez as partner-in-charge in Austin. The firm recently appointed Martinez as global head of life sciences and healthcare.
