This year’s summit will tackle questions that arose in the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on affirmative action in higher education as well as the nationwide backlash against DEI initiatives: Will the future of DEI be a repeat of the past? As the profession contemplates the impact that technology and the multigenerational workplaces will have on the practice of law, how will the quest to correct historical and systemic inequities rebound? Will age-old injustices simply replicate in new contexts, or is there an opportunity for real breakthrough?
