Sills Cummis & Gross in Newark welcomed back attorney Frederic M. Tudor. Tudor rejoined as a partner in the corporate department after previously working at the firm for 13 years, from 1987-2000. He left Sills Cummis in 2000 to become the General Counsel of ThruPoint Inc., an international software and IT consulting company based in New York. Tudor now serves as outside general counsel to a range of companies, providing guidance and assistance on general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, technology and financing matters, Sills Cummis said. He also counsels technology and other companies on international business operations and transactions, day-to-day corporate governance issues, shareholder and employment agreements and disputes, and website and privacy terms and policies. Tudor earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, and his B.S. from the State University of New York at Albany. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.

Stark & Stark in Lawrenceville announced that partners Trina Glass, Bhaveen R. Jani and Thomas Onder were elected to new leadership roles within the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion committee. Glass and Jani are co-chairs, while Onder will serve as secretary of the committee. Glass is a member of Stark & Stark’s investment management and securities group, and a member of the Corporate Counsel Women of Color. Mouré, the firm said, has extensive experience counseling New Jersey and New York employers, both public and private, on various labor and employment issues. Mouré is also an experienced commercial litigator, having represented employers in a variety of civil and administrative proceedings. “Arianna is an excellent addition to our team, bringing knowledge and experience that will benefit both the firm and our clients,” said Ramon E. Pierce Receives Leadership Honor

Pierce received the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association’s “Women’s Initiative and Leaders in Law (WILL) Platinum” award. Pierce was one of five recipients of the WILL Platinum award, and was recognized for her work in the private sector. She received her award at the association’s gala on March 29 in Cedar Grove. The NJWLA presents these annual awards to individuals for their exceptional achievements, their sustained contributions to gender equity challenges, as well as other uniquely important issues to women in the legal profession. Pierce, a partner at  Bressler, Amery & Ross, is a current board member of the NJWLA, and previously held positions including president and chief financial officer. “It’s a true honor to be recognized by an organization that I hold so close to my heart,” Pierce said in a statement. “I cannot put into words how much I appreciate the continued opportunity to work with this amazing group of women lawyers. I look forward to many more years of collaboration and progress.” Bressler managing partner Diana Manning, who is president-elect of the NJWLA, said: ”No one could deserve this award more than Loren. She is widely respected, admired, and valued. She understands that supporting other women and a relentless work ethic are the keys to enabling women to achieve, and I could not be more proud to have her as a colleague and friend.” At Bressler, Pierce practices in the Florham Park office and handles commercial, insurance coverage, and employment litigation. She also has experience litigating environmental, class actions, construction, and fraud matters. In 2015 the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law presented Pierce with the “Professional Lawyer of the Year” award for her work with NJWLA. The NJWLA, based in Nutley, has grown to more than 2,000 members since its revitalization 15 years ago, according to the announcement..
