A woman involved in two rear-end accidents was paid $1.35 million to settle a pair of consolidated Mercer County injury suits and received the majority of that sum, $1.25 million, on March 6.

Plaintiff Lynn Sparling, now 59, was involved in two collisions: one in November 2015 when her vehicle was stopped at a light at Crosswicks Hamilton Square Road in Hamilton Township and was struck from behind by defendant Stacey Lindes; and the second when she was stopped to make a left turn on Dorchester Drive in East Windsor and was struck by defendant Wilbur Macfarland. She claimed she sustained lower back and shoulder injuries as a result of the crashes, and received the bulk of her treatment following the second accident, said her lawyer, Michael Heck of Epstein Ostrove in Edison.
