A federal appeals court for the second time has affirmed dismissal of a lawsuit brought against Hamline University and its former law dean by a professor who was fired after being found guilty of failing to file state tax returns.
A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit on Jan. 7 ruled that plaintiff Robin Magee’s second lawsuit was barred “by the doctrine of res judicata,” meaning that it dealt with the same issues as her unsuccessful initial suit.
