U.S. law firm Reed Smith is facing a claim for over £20 million in London from a former shipping group that says it was a client of the firm.

Virgo Marine, which is based in the United Arab Emirates, has accused the law firm of “negligently and wrongfully” breaching an escrow agreement between Virgo, the sellers and Reed Smith over the sale of an oil tanker.
