Following its 11th consecutive year of profit growth, Akerman expanded its leadership ranks this week as the Am Law 100 firm anticipates strong demand from Latin American and corporate clients in 2022.

Latin America and Caribbean practice chair Luis Perez was appointed to co-manage the Miami office alongside real estate partner Neisen Kasdin, who previously managed the office by himself. In an interview, Perez said he’ll focus on attracting laterals with LatAm experience and developing business in the region.
