The top lawyer at the University of Florida apparently has waved the white — and bright orange-and-blue Gator — flag in her battle with a prominent Gainesville attorney that has embroiled her office in controversy in recent months.

UF vice president, general counsel and university secretary Jamie Keith submitted a letter of resignation — dated May 25 and obtained by ALM Media on Wednesday — to university president W.
