The past three years have been a roller coaster for Robinhood chief legal compliance and corporate affairs officer Dan Gallagher, who grabbed the legal reins at the online brokerage only months before the meme stock-trading craze plunged the company into chaos.

During his tenure, Gallagher has weathered investigations by both Congress and the Securities and Exchange Commission, an IPO that drew allegations of false and misleading statements by investors (recently dismissed by a federal judge) and a severe market downturn that sent its stock plummeting.
