In last week’s Law.com Trendspotter column, we looked at the increasing push by some law firm leaders and clients to get back to pre-pandemic “normal”—which means getting back to the office five days a week.

The tension around this issue was exacerbated by the controversial letter Morgan Stanley Chief Legal Officer Eric Grossman sent to his outside counsel earlier this month, but that was just the latest example of a legal industry heavyweight hoping to turn back the clock on how and where legal work is performed.
