Each December, the partners of Boies Schiller Flexner migrate south to Miami’s Key Biscayne, a ritzy island neighborhood that hosts the annual firm retreat and partner meeting. But this year, for the first time in the history of the firm, the partners will not be voting for David Boies as the firm’s next chair.

On Friday, founder David Boies told the American Lawyer he will step down as chair in 2025.
